Ultrasonic equipment

The main mechanism of ultrasonic cleaning is given by highly energetic ultrasound-waves which are released into a suitable ultrasound conducting fluid (an aqueous or organic solvent, depending on the application) where the parts, which have to be cleaned, are immersed.

The Ultrasonic Cleaning

An ultrasonic cleaning system usually consists of a working chamber made in stainless steel with an ultrasonic conducting liquid and an ultrasound generating transducer which is either build onto the chamber or may be immersed into the fluid.

Immersible Ultrasonic Transducer
KKS rectangular, immersible transducers are made of stainless steel 1.4462 / ASTM A182 F51, a special material with high resistance against cavitation damage, with thicknesses of 2, 3 or 5 mm. Those transducers can be designed according the specific need and connection possibilities. They can be placed either on the bottom or on the side of the working chamber.

Plate Type of Ultrasonic Transducer
KKS plate type transducers are made of a straight or bent stainless steel 1.4462 / ASTM A182 F51, a special material with high resistance against cavitation damage, and a thickness of 2 mm. This space-saving system of transducer is flange-mounted from outside, with screws into an appropriate aperture in the cleaning tank by means of a welded frame, seal and contact frame.

"Longlife" Ultrasonic Transducer
'Longlife' Ultrasonic Transducer
The robust design of the "Longlife" transducers is given by the stainless steel 1.4462 / ASTM A182 F51, a special material with high resistance against cavitation damage, a membrane thickness of 5 mm and a housing of 3 mm. This type of transducer is available as a standard for an ultrasonic frequency of 25 kHz.
